Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park is South Africa’s most exciting African safari destination. Kruger National Park is one of the largest Game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,633 square kilometers (7,580 sq mi) in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in north eastern South Africa, and extends 360 kilometers (220 mi) from north to south and 65 kilometers (40 mi) from east to west. It became South Africa's first National park in 1926. In the north is Zimbabwe, and to the east is Mozambique.

All the Big Five game animals(Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino) are found at Kruger National Park, which has more species of large mammals than any other African Game Reserve (at 147 species). Out of the 517 species of birds found at Kruger, 253 are residents, 117 non-breeding migrants, and 147 nomads.

Tour Information

Day 1

Generally our guided tours start at 06h00 AM to increase your viewing chances, but departure times are up to you. The drive to Kruger Park takes about 4-5 hours. Snacks and beverages can be bought along the way. As soon as you've entered Kruger National Park, be on the lookout for the abundance of wildlife.

The roads inside Kruger National Park are very easy to navigate and to get from one Camp to another. You will stay at one of Kruger National Park's Main  Rest Camps, pending availability at the time of booking. On your way to the rest camp you can take in the beautiful surroundings. Be on the lookout for Rhino, Buffalo and Elephants.

You should arrive at the rest camp early afternoon, you will have time to settle in and relax or you can have a swim and cool off after a long day until dinner. You can enjoy dinner at the Restaurant or buy groceries at the shop for self catering purposes. The accommodation is equipped with good facilities for self catering, either private or communal sharing, depending on the accommodation type available when booking.

Day 2

Continue your Kruger Adventure and search for Africa’s big five. You can visit some interesting attractions like waterholes, lookout points and historical sites, see the info, tips and maps provided when you make your booking.

Apart from the Big 5 animals, also be on the lookout for other interesting wildlife such as Baboons, Vervet monkeys, Hayena, Cheetah, Birds of Prey such as the beautiful Bateleur, Secretary Bird and different kinds of Vultures.

You can also go on the many exciting activities inside Kruger National Park like bush walks or enjoy a Bushbraai (BBQ) in the open wilderness. 

Arrive back at camp in the afternoon. Relax and unwind until dinner, served at the Restaurant or cater for yourself at your accommodation.

After dinner you can go on an exciting Night Game drive in an open Safari vehicle guided by a Kruger National Park Ranger.

Day 3

Enjoy Breakfast

After breakfast enjoy your last excursion inside Kruger National Park on the way to Malelane Gate and try to spot the animals that eluded you the previous days.

You can take the route back to Malelane Gate where you will exit Kruger National Park. Stop at the Afsaal Picnic site on the way where you can stretch your legs or buy some snacks.

The scenic drive from Malelane to Johannesburg will take approximately 4 - 5 hours. We will include directions back to O.R Tambo Airport or to your specified destination.

You can decide how your day must go, we just provide suggestions and all the information you will need during your stay such as what to pack, Information about South Africa, Routes, links, maps etc.
