Tour Information
Day 1 - Spectacular Panorama Route

Panorama Route-Mac Mac Falls-Red Africa Safaris-7 Day Safari

Your guide will pick you up around 08h00 from your Hotel near or at O.R Tambo Airport.
You will make your way to the first stop on the Panorama Route - Sudwala Caves where you will be able to go on an interesting Cave Tour of approximately 1 hour.
After your Cave Tour you will head to Lone Creek Falls, situated in the forest area around the town, Sabi. It’s the only Waterfall in the region where you could stand at the bottom of the falls and experience the true power of the water cascading over the Mountains ' edge. 
After your stop at the impressive Lone Creek Falls you will head to Mac Mac Falls. On the short walk to the falls, you could marvel at the beautiful crafts of the local people at the stalls set up next to the walkway.
After your stop at Mac Mac Falls you will make your way to your Panorama Route accommodation where you will stay your first night.
Arrive in the afternoon, settle in and relax.
Enjoy Dinner at 18h00 at the Restaurant.


Day 2 - 2nd Part of the Panorama Route + Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre tour

Stoffel-Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre-Honey Badger-Red Africa Safaris-7 Day Safari

Enjoy breakfast at 07h30.
Depart afterwards and continue with your Panorama Route.
First stop will be the Pinnacle Rock where you will be able to view the entire spectrum of the region down below, then you will stop at God's window, next will be Lisbon Falls (highest falls in the region), then Berlin Falls, next you will be able to view the impressive potholes carved out of stone at Bourke’s Luck Potholes and lastly, the 3 Rondavels, here you will have the best view of the Blyde River Canyon below.
After the Panorama Route you will make your way to your accommodation situated next to the Blyde River with the majestic Drakensberg Mountains as the backdrop.
Settle in and relax until it’s time to go on your Moholoholo Rehabilitation tour, starting at 15h00.
Animals such as Honey Badger (famous Stoffel), Serval, Leopard, Lion, Vultures to name but a few, can be seen.
Return to your accommodation afterwards and relax until dinner is served around 19h00.


Day 3 - Elephant Sanctuary + Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park-Elephant Sanctuary-Red Africa Safaris-7 Day Safari

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before heading to the Elephant Sanctuary situated near the town, Hazyview.
At 10h00, you will go on a Guided Tour with a full Elephant Introduction in the Forest and a tour of the Sanctuary and Stables. Touching and interacting with Elephants, walking trunk-in-hand.
Afterwards you will make your way to the iconic Kruger National Park.
You will start to see some animals as soon as you have entered the Park, be on the lookout for Elephants, Buffalo, Leopard, Lions and Rhino and many other interesting animals.
Arrive at Skukuza (situated next to the beautiful Sabi River, which attracts plenty of wildlife) in the afternoon, settle in and relax.
Enjoy dinner around 18h00 - 19h00 prepared by your guide in the true Safari way, on open fire.
Enjoy the evening in the African bush while listening to the roars of Lions or the calls of Jackal.


Day 4 - Kruger National Park, Bushwalk & open vehicle Sunset Safari

Next morning you can get close to Nature on foot by going on an adrenaline packed Bushwalk starting at 04h00 (duration 3 hours) or you could substitute the walk with a Sunrise Game drive.
Afterwards enjoy a delicious breakfast back at camp.
Depart after breakfast and enjoy the second closed vehicle mid-day Game drive and visit look out points, River beds and waterholes in search for Africa’s wildlife. Or spend some time at the swimming pool or explore the camp grounds and see if you can spot one of the many accommodation visitors such as Warthog, Bushbuck, Impala, spotted Hyena etc.
At 16h30, go on an exciting open vehicle Sunset Game drive and see what kind of nocturnal animals start to stir. After your 3 hour drive return to your accommodation and enjoy a tasty dinner around 20h00.


Day 5 - Kruger & Hlane National Park (Swaziland)

After a refreshing cup of coffee you will go on your last closed vehicle Game drive through Kruger National park. Be on the lookout for the animals that eluded you on your previous excursions.
Enjoy breakfast at one of Kruger Park’s picnic sites before continuing with your Game drive on the way to the Gate where you will exit the Park.
You will then make your way to the last remaining Royal Kingdom of Southern Africa – Swaziland. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and countryside of Swaziland as you make your way to Hlane National Park.
Arrive at Hlane Royal National Park in the afternoon.
Keep an eye on the Waterhole situated at the entrance of the Park for Hippos, crocodiles and plenty of other wildlife quenching their thirst.
You will then go on a closed vehicle Game drive on the way to your accommodation set in a Riverine forest next to Mbuluzi River.
Settle in and relax until dinner is served around 19h00 under open African skies.


Day 6 - Swaziland open vehicle Safari + Malkerns Candle shop stop

Kruger National Park-African Elephant-Red Africa Safaris-7 Day Safari

During the morning, go on an exciting open vehicle Game drive through Hlane National Park and see what kind of animals you could find.
Enjoy breakfast afterwards at a picnic site before you exit Hlane National Park.
After you have exit the park late morning, you will make your way to Malkerns Valley to visit Swazi Candles’ vibrant, music filled workshop where they invite guests to come and interact with the artisans as they work their magic and witness how they create the most stunning candles in front of your eyes.
Afterwards you will make your way to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary where you will overnight your last night in Swaziland.
Arrive late afternoon.
Be on the look out for the many wildlife inside the camp grounds such as Warthog, Nyala, Bushbuck to name but a few.
Settle in until it is time for dinner.
Enjoy Mlilwane's relaxed atmosphere and the last evening on your Safari tour in the African bush.


Day 7 - Mantenga Cultural Village tour, Swazi dancing performance, Ngwenya Glass factory stop and transfer back to Johannesburg

                                                                                

After an early morning breakfast you will make your way to the Mantenga Cultural Village where you will go on a tour through the Village where you will be able to experience how the Swazi people used to live.
Afterwards witness a stunning Swazi dancing performance of which the duration is 45 min.
You will then depart and head towards the Border but before you exit Swaziland, you will make one last stop at Ngwenya glass village, here you will be able to watch from a balcony how the Swazi people use broken pieces of glass and turning it in the most stunning ornaments.
After your Ngwenya glass tour you will exit Swaziland through the Oshoek border post and make your way back to Johannesburg where you Safari will unfortunately come to an end.

It is recommended that you overnight at a hotel on your last day of your tour as the last day will also be a full day tour with activities. A flight could also be booked on your last day, but it is advisable to book the flight to depart after 20h00.

Although we provide a planned itinerary, our Tours are totally flexible and can be customized to suit your needs. So if there is anything you would like to add or cancel, just let us know and we will gladly send you a new quotation.

The National Parks and Reserves that we operate in are very popular and can get booked out very fast so we recommend that the deposit should be paid as soon as possible to secure the desired booking date.

Availability is extremely limited and cannot be guaranteed until the booking is confirmed.

If the Reservation is made within 30 days of departure we request the full amount to be paid at the time of confirmation. If the Reservation is made more than 30 days prior to departure then a 50% deposit of the full amount is required at the time of booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the Safari Tour. 

Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules/planned itineraries, it should be noted that RED AFRICA SAFARIS or partnered companies/Lodges may be obliged to occasionally change routes/schedules on safaris as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be brought about by road conditions, diversions, weather conditions, traffic, availability of activities etc. RED AFRICA SAFARIS will communicate with you for such itinerary or accommodation changes

Departure times from camps may vary, depending upon the season.

Children below 6yrs are not permitted on the optional Game drives.

Children below 12yrs are not allowed on any Bush walks.

Adults above 65 yrs need to provide a Doctor certificate when wanting to partake in the Bush walks.

Participation in adventure travel requires that you be in generally good health. All visitors must understand that while a high level off fitness is not required, a measure of physical activity is involved in such tours. It is essential that persons with any medical problems and/or related dietary restrictions make them known to us before departure.

Please note that there may be other guests/visitors joining you on some of the activities during your Tour such as the open vehicle game drives and bushwalks, as these activities are done by Kruger National Park themselves. Private open vehicle Game drives could also be booked for your tour group only, just let us know and we will send you a newquotation as soon as possible.

It is recommended that clients overnight in Johannesburg the night before the tour and on the last day of the tour. We recommend hotels/B&Bs within 5kms of OR Tambo International Airport.
 
Please note - Clients could also be picked up straight from the Airport, should your flight arrive early in the morning.
 
Your Tour is based on Mid-range accommodation but more luxurious, such as 5 star accommodation is also available as well as more budget accommodation.
